Students who choose to take the General Educational Development (GED) examination will be considered for admission on the basis of their combined GED and the ACT scores. GED scores are converted to a class rank equivalence based on national norms (percentiles) established by the American Council on Education. The class rank equivalence and ACT percentile are then used to determine the student’s eligibility under our published freshman admission requirements.

Information on taking the GED is available from the Missouri State Counseling and Testing Center (417-836-5116). Missouri students may also call the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at 573-751-3504 for information. Students are encouraged to begin the process at least six months prior to the beginning of the semester for which they plan to apply. Generally, students must register for the GED at least one month in advance and will not receive their scores for at least one month following the test date.
