The Director of Environmental Management will wear the appropriate respiratory protection any time he/she could be exposed to chemical fumes. this includes, but is not limited to, activities involving combining of bulking wastes in the hazardous waste storage area, inspecting original containers that are suspected of having leaks and investigating reports that there are fumes in a lab. (Only those bulking and combining activities described in the hazardous waste storage area document are approved.) Activities requiring the use of a respirator will be reviewed by the Associate Vice-President for Administrative Services and the Director of Taylor Health and Wellness Center.
