Missouri State University
- Performance Indicators (State Compliance) -
- On the 20th day of each term, the Office of Institutional Research is provided a comprehensive set of data elements collected and stored within the campus Management Information Systems. These data are analyzed by the OIR staff in accordance with state and federal protocols and procedures to calculate, validate, and reconcile detailed data responses to comprehensive surveys that enable the President, Provost, and Missouri Department of Higher Education to evaluate and compare Missouri State University to institutions located in Missouri as well as over 7,000 institutions of higher learning located within other regions in the United States.
Currently, four measures are common to all institutions within a specific sector, while one measure is selected by each institution to reflect its mission and scope. Each higher educational institution earns one-fifth of its available performance funding by meeting each of its measures.
- EMSAS (State Compliance)
- Since the fall of 1987, the Missouri Department of Higher Education has annually collected student unit-record information from public institutions across the state. Now known collectively as the Enhanced Missouri Student Achievement Study (EMSAS), these collections have proven invaluable in the ongoing analysis and evaluation of postsecondary education in Missouri.
