HEADCOUNT AND STUDENT CREDIT HOUR ENROLLMENT
SPRINGFIELD CAMPUS OF MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY
FALL 2006
Of the six tables that follow, the first three contain enrollment data and the latter three, student credit hour data, for the Springfield campus of Missouri State University (Missouri State) on the Fall 2006 census date. With two exceptions (Tables 3 and 5), they also contain the corresponding data from the preceding year, for comparison.
Enrollment Overview
In Table 1, enrollment figures are displayed by on-campus/off-campus status and year. From Fall 2005 to Fall 2006, student enrollment increased by 242 students to 19,218, a increase of 1.3%.
In Table 2, enrollment figures are displayed by student level and year. From Fall 2005 to Fall 2006, the number of undergraduate students increased by 30 and the number of graduate students increased by 212.
In Table 3, enrollment and full-time equivalent (FTE) figures are displayed by student level and full-time/part-time status. In Fall 2006, 13,981 full-time students and 5,237 part-time students attended the University. The FTE enrollment was 15,384.
Student Credit Hours
In Table 4, SCH are arrayed by course level, on-campus/off-campus status, and year. The SCH total for Fall 2006 was 225,409, an increase of 3,450 over the preceding year. Undergraduate SCH increased by 2,077 and graduate SCH increased by 1,373.
In Table 5, SCH are shown by department and college and on-campus/off-campus status. In Fall 2006, the College of Natural and Applied Sciences produced the largest number of SCH, closely followed by the Colleges of Arts and Letters and Business Administration.
In Table 6, SCH are displayed by department and college and year. Five colleges saw increases in student credit hours generated; the College of Arts and Letters, the College of Business Administration, the College of Health and Human Services, the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, and the College of Humanities and Public Affairs.
