The exam tool used for the GEN 499-University Exit Exam, graduation requirement is written completely in English. The exam was designed for English-speaking populations, and the Educational Testing Service company has not created versions of the exam in any other languages. This exam is timed, and students have only 40 minutes to answer all of the questions. Students who are non-native English speakers may find it easier to begin with questions in the mathematics section and then finish with the reading and writing portions.
Based on student feedback, Exit Exam Administration has designated one section of GEN 499 each semester to provide a comfortable and accommodating testing environment for international students. This special section will provide more time for the instructions portion of the exam only. A representative from International Services will also be available during the exam to help address student questions related to instructions. International students who wish to attend this special section of GEN 499 should send an email with their full name and BearPass number (M Number) to Exit Exam Administration at ExitExam@MissouriState.edu.
