Mission

To provide a clinical/educational environment in which to train students enrolled in the programs of speech-language pathology, audiology and educational assessment and intervention services for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing.

 
Goals

The goals of the Clinic are to:

·        Provide a teaching clinic where students obtain practicum experiences to meet certification guidelines as specified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association of the Council of Education of the Deaf in order to become certified in those areas upon graduation.

·        Provide speech, language and hearing services to the surrounding community.

 
About

Under supervision, undergraduate and graduate students observe and participate in the assessment and management of disorders of communication which result from hearing loss or deficits in the production or reception of speech.

 Population Served

The patient population served by the Clinic includes children and adults in the greater Springfield area.
