Purpose
The CARE Mobile is a children's clinic on wheels. It offers basic health services such as immunizations, check ups, sports physicals, treatment of common childhood illnesses and other primary care for children from birth to age 18 at no charge. It is a partnership between Children's Miracle Network, CoxHealth and a family of supporters.
Cost
There is no charge, even if the child does not have insurance or Medicaid coverage. Services are made possible by donations from community sponsors like Great Southern Bank, CoxHealth Auxiliary, Alltel and Silver Dollar City Foundation. There are no appointments, except during back to school immunization time.
Population Served
34-county area in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas, including: Barry, Benton, Camden, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Laclede, Lawrence, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, St. Clair, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster, Wright in Missouri, and Carroll, Baxter, Boone, Fulton, Izard, Marion, Newton, and Searcy in Arkansas. It treats over 15,000 children annually in Springfield, Branson and Monett.
