Students may choose from two different graduate degree programs in Music:
The Master of Music degree develops professional competence in the evaluation and dissemination of knowledge in various musical disciplines. The five specific concentrations include:

Pedagogy - The pedagogy course of study is intended to refine the teaching skills of instructors who teach private students.

Conducting - The conductor may specialize in choral, band or orchestral areas while refining their conducting, rehearsing, and score preparation skills.

Music Theory/Composition- The music theory curriculum will help students train as teachers in higher education. The composition program is intended to train students in the area of composing original music at a high level of proficiency in a wide variety of musical styles.

Music Education - Certified music educators may be admitted to this program in order to advance their training in the field of music education.

Music Performance - The music performance degree is intended to train students who desire to perform professionally or to teach applied areas in colleges or universities.
Students are required to complete the following as shown in the Graduate Catalog: see (p. 68)
- One of five specific concentrations
- A final research project related to concentration
Master of Science in Education, Secondary
This program provides certified educators an opportunity to enhance their qualifications in both professional education and subject matter areas appropriate to their teaching fields. Music is one of 20 different subject areas of emphasis that may be selected.
Students are required to complete the following as shown in the Graduate Catalog:
