The opportunity to achieve the highest professional performance standards is the priority goal for our ensemble and chamber music musicians. The Missouri State conductors provide our audiences the finest artistic repertoire from all musical periods, cultures and styles. With over 200 performances each year by the Department's students and faculty, and visiting artists' series, the Department of Music has a proud tradition of excellence of providing an eclectic musical campus life. The variety of performing opportunities provided by the Department of Music is available to all Missouri State students, regardless of major.

The Department's weekly Convocation also provides solo and chamber music performance opportunities. Through audition, the following additional significant performance opportunities are available for all qualified and interested students:
