The Missouri State Symphony is a university class taken for credit under the number MUS176.
The orchestra meets twice weekly from 3:00pm - 4:50pm on Tuesday and Thursday during the fall semester and spring semester.
The string section often rotates seating. Sectional rehearsals are also expected periodically.
The group performs two formal concerts in the fall and performs for Commencement. In the spring they perform two formal concerts, one of which is the Concerto Honors concert, and they often perform for the Composition Festival. The year concludes with the President’s Concert, a major work for orchestra, choir and soloists.
