Ted Harris

 Mr. Ted Harris is a soloist in Opera, Oratorio, Musical Theatre and general Vocal Repertoire.

Mr. Harris is a graduate of William Jewell College, Oklahoma Baptist University, University of Illinois and has Doctoral Degree study at Indiana University. He studied voice with David Grosch at William Jewell College, Bruce Foote at University of Illinois, Margaret Harshaw at Indiana University, and Samuel Margolis in New York City. He has traveled, performed and understudied legendary Metropolitan Opera Basso Jerome Hines.

He has performed with the Oklahoma City Symphony, St Louis Symphony, Wichita Falls Texas Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, University of Wisconsin Symphony at Madison, and Ball State University at Muncie, Indiana. Mr. Harris was a member of the Voice Faculty at Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwest Baptist University.

He has served as Casting Director and Producer and Director of University productions of “Music Man and “Sound of Music” and has sung roles of “Gaylord Ravenol” in “Showboat”, “Emile De Becque” in “South Pacific”, “Captain Von Trapp” in “Sound of Music” and “Tevya” in “Fiddler on the Roof”

Mr. Harris has had many students who have become successful in professional singing careers, teaching careers and Directors of Music in churches throughout Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
