Student Opportunities and Services
Building a community of peers and mentors
Within the field of public health, the idea of community is essential to encouraging and supporting healthy practices. Within the University, community is also vital to your success as a student. Through student organizations, faculty advisors and community partnerships, you can expand your concept of community and extend your education beyond the classroom.
The most important aspects of these involvement opportunities are the various kinds of hands-on experiences received through participation in research and field experiences, volunteering in the community and participating in campus events and initiatives. These experiences are supported by course credits and community partners who provide sites for our students to learn more about public health careers, issues and health policy.
