October 2007 Marketing Highlights

Welcome to a Marketing Department Homecoming!

Bears Football Fans

 By Lindsey Lattimore

Homecoming festivities kick off with the annual 5K run and tailgating at BearFest Village beginning at 8:00 a.m. this coming Saturday.  Watch out for the “grand stampede” as the annual Homecoming Parade, Walk on the Wild Side, will make its way down John Q. Hammons Parkway between St. Louis Street and Grand Street starting at 9:00 a.m.  Following the parade, Marketing Department Head, Dr. Robin Luke will once again play chef, grilling up tasty treats at Bearfest Village in the COBA tent.

Plaster Stadium opens its gates at noon, so wear your maroon and white, gather your herd, release your inner beast, and holler for MSU football players and fellow Marketing majors, Jacob Duron, Chris Geisz, Andy O’Cheltree, Seth Reichert, Ian Starnes, and Andrew Watts as they, along with their other teammates, take on the Indiana State Sycamores at 1:30 p.m.

Then, stick around for fifth quarter activities and support fellow Marketing students Maggie Brandt and Curt Herzog in their quest to be named Homecoming King and Queen.  Last year, Ashley Secoy, a senior Advertising and Promotions major from Shelbina, Missouri, took home the crown.

In addition to seeing you at Homecoming activities, we’d love to see you in the Marketing Department anytime.  Feel free to stop by Glass Hall to say hello. Or, to keep us up-to-date, send a quick e-mail.  Hope to see you soon!
