There are many organizations in which Marketing students can get involved. Making professional connections, developing friendships with other students with common interests and involvement in social activities are just a few reasons to consider joining one or more of the organizations listed below.
Advertising Club
The Advertising Club’s membership is composed of individuals interested in the field of advertising and promotion. Each year the organization participates in attending, hosting and planning business events, participating in local and regional competitions, social activities and community service. MSU American Marketing Association
The MSU American Marketing Association chapter, also known as our Marketing Club, is designed to provide students with opportunities to meet and network with local, regional and national marketing professionals. Student also learn about the field of marketing through attending, sponsoring and hosting events such as the 5K run each Spring. Through this club, students will gain hands-on experience and knowledge of marketing. The Marketing Club also spends time serving the Springfield community. Advertising Team
Missouri State University’s Ad Team is the team to beat in regional and national competitions. In 2010 the Ad Team presented a research-based advertising campaign on “tween” seatbelt use to federal officials from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The Ad Team also finished 1st in the 2008 American Public Transportation Association (APTA) “Go Green. Go Public.” Campaign. Their commercial was even featured during the Super Bowl!
