Missouri State University provides a limited number of room and board scholarships to be awarded by the Military Science Department.  Cadets residing on or off campus may apply for this scholarship.  Generally, a room and board scholarship is renewed each year until completion of ROTC requirements or completion of the second year of graduate school so long as the student remains in good standing with the Department.  Criteria to maintain an Army ROTC scholarship is in accordance with Cadet Command Regulation 145-1 and other applicable regulations.

Captain Andrew W. Long Jr. Scholarship

The Captain Andrew W. Long, Jr. Scholarship was established in May 1990 from the estate of Captain Long.  The scholarship is a cash distribution to selected cadets to help defray the cost of tuition, fees, books, supplies, and room and board.  The scholarship amount is determined annually by the availability of funds in the Trust.  The Scholarship funds are issued at the beginning of the Fall semester by the Missouri State University Financial Aid office.  This scholarship is not automatically renewed each year; cadets must apply for this scholarship annually and previous recipients may re-apply.  This scholarship is also available to cadets enrolled at our partnership schools (Southwest Baptist University, Central Bible College, Baptist Bible College, Evangel University, Drury University, and College of the Ozarks).
