60th Anniversary Events

Join us in celebrating the 60 years of Missouri State University ROTC Bear Battalion!   The Bear Battalion began July, 1952 and has seen 1,805 of its cadets receive commissions as U.S. Army officers.  Let’s celebrate a brilliant past and a bright future for our organization! • Friday, September 21
  9:00 a.m. Golf at Green Hills Country Club, lunch included* (See below)
  6:00 p.m. Dinner (Dutch) at St. Michael’s Sports Bar and Grill, downtown Springfield
• Saturday, September 22
  10:00 a.m. Bearfest Village in lot 24 (Parking lot south east across from Plaster Stadium
        - BBQ
        - Bear Battalion Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony- Join us as we induct three alum who have distinguished themselves and our program.
  1:00 p.m.  Football MSU Bears vs. SIU
       - MSU will open its conference schedule at home on Sept. 22 against rival Southern Illinois on Family Weekend and Military Appreciation Day. Tickets are 1/2 price for active and retired military and are available from MSU Athletics.

* Golf is just $60 per person, lunch included. There is a $10,000 cash prize hole-in-one. Each participant will provide their own transportation for all events.
