HOW DO I FIND MY ADVISOR?
Access My Missouri State, click the Academics tab, then view your advisor in the Academic Profile channel. You may also call the Academic Advisement Office at 417-836-5258.

DO I HAVE TO REQUEST AN ADVISOR OR IS ONE ASSIGNED TO ME AUTOMATICALLY?

IF I AM A FIRST-TIME FRESHMAN and attend SOAR, I will receive a letter informing me who my advisor is. If that is not the case, contact the secretary in my major department.

IF I AM AN UNDECLARED MAJOR, an advisor in the Academic Advisement Center will be assigned to me. I will need my social security number and a PIN code, which can be obtained at the Zip Card Office, PLSU 128. Once declared, come to the MCL office for advisor assignment.

IF I AM AN EVENING STUDENT, and I need to meet with your advisor after 5pm, please send an email to your faculty advisor to set up an appointment first. You can find the email addresses of your advisor by visiting our Faculty and Staff web page. For appointments, contact the department (417-836-5512) to set up a meeting with the department head or to find an advisor if you cannot otherwise contact your advisor.
