The university’s faculty and administration encourage our students to diversify their educational and cultural experiences. In order to stimulate this diversification, the university offers many courses that deal with other cultures. We have minors and majors that allow students to specialize in other cultures and civilizations. We also offer study away opportunities so that our students can experience first-hand what other cultures are like. Following is a synopsis of the study away programs which are offered through Missouri State. Financial aid and scholarships may be applied toward the cost of programs.
As a member of the Missouri Consortium for International Programs and Studies, Missouri State sends students and faculty to study and teach each fall, spring and summer semester in London. Students live and study in the Kensington area and receive academic credit directly from Missouri State. Courses offered vary from semester to semester and are taught by participating faculty from member institutions and by British nationals.
Students pay Missouri State tuition and fees to study at host institutions. Transfer of credit is arranged through the International Programs and Affairs office. Coursework is offered across the curriculum.

Students may study French in Canada, or Spanish in a variety of countries, in summer programs that are four to six weeks in duration.
