About the College

The college embraces the concept of student learning beyond the classroom. Thus, students are encouraged to work with faculty on basic and applied research projects and internships. This is an excellent way for students to gain experience in their major and to prepare for work. Many of our students present their results at national and regional society meetings, and it is not unusual for students to publish papers in scientific journals.  This college is also a great place to pursue pre-professional programs of study such as pre-engineering, pre-medicine, pre-optometry, pre-veterinary, pre-pharmacy and many others.

Students interested in careers in the natural or applied sciences are encouraged to write us or come visit our departments and discover for themselves the opportunities that await them at Missouri State.
