GENERAL FUNCTION
The Research Instructor is a member of the ranked faculty whose duties require a commitment to advanced studies in the field or to research appropriate to the discipline, and a willingness to serve the academic unit, college and/or University.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum acceptable qualifications for the position of Research Instructor are prescribed in the Faculty Handbook.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Research Instructor are assigned by the academic Department Head or Director.
SUPERVISION
The Research Instructor receives administrative supervision from the Department Head or Director and may exercise supervision of professional research staff, graduate assistants, undergraduate majors, or student employees.
