GENERAL FUNCTION
The Term Research Instructor is an unranked faculty member who is appointed to service in a University research center and who conducts research which is partially or totally supported by outside funds.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum acceptable qualifications for the position of Term Research Instructor are prescribed in the Faculty Handbook.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Term Research Instructor are assigned by the academic Department Head or Director.
SUPERVISION
The Term Research Instructor receives administrative supervision from the Department Head or Director and may exercise supervision of professional research staff, graduate assistants, undergraduate majors, or student employees.
