GENERAL FUNCTION

The Term Assistant Research Professor is an unranked faculty member who is appointed to service in a University research center and who conducts research which is partially or totally supported by outside funds.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum acceptable qualifications for the position of Term Assistant Research Professor are prescribed in the Faculty Handbook.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Term Assistant Research Professor are assigned by the academic Department Head or Director.

SUPERVISION

The Term Assistant Research Professor receives administrative supervision from the Department Head or Director and may exercise supervision of professional research staff, graduate assistants, undergraduate majors, or student employees.
