GENERAL FUNCTION
The Director, School of Teacher Education (STE) oversees personnel, budgets, scheduling, student services, and other administrative duties to support faculty in the School of Teacher Education. The Director works with administrators and faculty in colleges throughout the University. The Director, School of Teacher Education also recruits faculty and assists in developing faculty research, teaching, and service, program/curriculum development and review, student advisement, and certification, accreditation, and leadership for and supervision of grants and contracts.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requires an earned doctorate in Education.
Experience Qualifications to achieve graduate faculty status are required. A record of successful research, teaching, and service is required. A record of successful supervision of grants and contracts is preferred. Administrative experience is preferred.
Skills Evidence of effective communication skills is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The specific duties and responsibilities of the Director, STE are assigned by the Dean.
SUPERVISION
The Director, STE is supervised by the College Dean and exercises supervision of the faculty and staff of the STE.
