Kristy Seidel

Kristy Seidel

Kristy Seidel is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of Hyatt’s recruitment programs, initiatives and tools to ensure that Hyatt’s talent resource needs and objectives are accomplished.  She reports directly to the Vice President of Talent. Although specialized in recruitment strategy, recruitment technology, college programs and employment branding, Kristy has extensive Human Resources and hotel operations experience.

Hyatt is focused on innovative sourcing methods, brand building and maximizing internal talent pools. More recently, Kristy was actively involved with re-structuring how recruiting is managed in the America’s. Her current or recent projects include incorporating video response into the application process for Hyatt, launching a new global career site, mobilizing the application process and targeted SEO efforts. She also has oversight of the College Recruiting efforts for Hyatt and places an average of 250 seniors and 100 underclass students into Hyatt’s college programs.

Active in industry affairs, Kristy has her SPHR (senior certification) from the Society for Human Resources Management and a member of the Staffing Management Association of Greater Chicago. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality and restaurant administration from Missouri State University. She currently resides in the Chicago area with her husband and two sons.

Matt Triola

Matt Triola

Matt Triola is currently the Senior Human Resource and Training Manager for Big River Restaurants, an Applebee’s franchisee with locations in Missouri, Illinois and Louisiana. As the youngest member of the executive team Matt supervises and provides consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budgets and labor relations.

Matt has more than ten years of restaurant management experience. At Applebee’s, he has recently designed and implemented a new Manager in Training program, installed a Workplace Safety program and created policies and procedures related to the organizations visions and values. Additionally, as the Senior Human Resource Manager, Matt ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state and local laws. He is also a certified Food Safety Instructor and Proctor from the National Restaurant Association.

He is currently finishing a Masters certificate in Human Resource Management from Villanova University and maintains a Professional in Human Resource certificate from the Society of Human Resource Management.

Prior to working at Applebee’s, Matt worked in Front Office Operations at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Matt graduated with Cum Laude honors from Missouri State University (formally Southwest Missouri State) in December 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality and restaurant administration with a minor in general business. While at Missouri State, he served as President of Eta Sigma Delta honor society and was a two-time recipient of the Springfield Hotel/Motel Association scholarship.
