ALL PLANS AND IMAGES ARE CONSIDERED PRELIMINARY.
HRA faculty and staff have been working with Dake Wells architects to finalize the design documents for our new home—Pummill Hall. Revised plans are now in place to renovate all four floors of the building. The HRA department will be located on the third and fourth floors of the building as originally planned. HRA classes will be offered in Pummill Hall beginning in the fall of 2015. We are look forward to sharing our complete plans VERY SOON! The location of our new home will provide greater visibility for the department. The new facility will include:
- Two culinary facilities
- Our student-operated restaurant
- Student-lounge and study areas
- Seven hospitality classrooms
- A 25-station computer laboratory
- Departmental offices
Essentially, we will be tripling the size of our current learning facility. This project will also include a new energy efficient exterior curtain wall which will transform the look of the building. At last, our facility will match the top-notch education we deliver to future hospitality leaders.
Clearly, this is a great time to be a HRA student, alumni, industry partner, faculty or staff member. We are committed to creating one of the leading, business-focused hospitality programs in the Midwest.
