Old Business
Copies of the draft of the committee’s
response to the concerns from the 1995 site visit were made available to the
committee. Members are asked to supply additional information or make
suggestions for corrections, and send their comments to Etta
Per the assignments that Bill sent out the
previous week, the group divided into 3 sub-committees at this week’s
meeting, each dealing with one of the cross-cutting themes of the HLC – the
Learning-Focused Organization, the Connected Organization, and the
Distinctive Organization. (The Future-Oriented Organization will be taken up
at a later time.) The groups are each charged with gathering the examples of
evidence that support their specific theme from department and committee
responses and other documentation, linking these examples to their
corresponding Criteria and Core Components, and organizing them for
submission to the writing committee. Each group developed a plan of action
for their members and began work on the process. In order for the evidence
to be compiled within the next three weeks, the committee will meet
throughout the Spring Break period at the regularly scheduled time.
The committee will meet on Thursday, March 24
at 9:30 a.m. in the ADC.
Respectfully submitted,
Linda Chadwick-Rogers
