Jan Bradley, CASL Program Coordinator, discussed the CASL assessment and how that effort might be used in the 2005 Self-Study. The Steering Committee considered Criteria/Components 3B, 3D, 5A, and 5C, of particular interest.

Bill announced that he will make a brief presentation about the Self-Study to the Board of Governors at its May 13 meeting.

The Performance Measures Criteria Table, prepared by Kayla Sills, was distributed and discussed. The table will be transmitted to the Steering Committee Friday afternoon.

The Steering Committee devoted the remainder of the meeting to discussing the Criteria for Accreditation. Criterion Five was emphasized. Committee members were to send final ideas and comments concerning the Criteria to Bill by 5:00 PM, Monday, May 10.

The Steering Committee authorized Bill to submit the 2005 Self-Study Design to the HLC Office on or before May 14, 2004.

The Steering Committee will begin meeting weekly Wednesday, June 9. The meetings are scheduled for 9:00 – 11:00 AM each Wednesday throughout the Summer term. No meeting is planned for July 7. The schedule schedule of meetings is:
