Don Simpson reported on his presentation, Wednesday, March 17, to the Student Affairs Council concerning the 2005 Self-Study.

There was considerable discussion of the draft self-study design.

	Pete Richardson described a draft of charges that will be given to the Missouri State University Assessment Council.
	Draft charges for the Assessment Council, Faculty Senate, and the Committee on General Education and Interdisciplinary Programs will be included in the Self-Study design as examples.
	Academic or unit affiliation will be included in the list of Steering Committee members to indicate the university wide nature of the committee.

The remainder of the meeting was devoted to discussion of the Criteria, Core Components, sources of data and documentation, and appropriate University committees to work with the Steering Committee on the Self-Study.

Most of the discussion concerned Criteria 1 and 2.

Martha Kirker, Tammy Jahnke, and Bill Cheek will attend the HLC Annual Meeting in Chicago March 26-30.

The next meeting of the Steering Committee is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, April 2.
