BS Four-Year Graduation Plan: Interior Design (comprehensive)

The four-year gradation plan was created to demonstrate that it is possible for a student to graduate in four years. The four-year degree option can be completed in eight regular semesters (with one summer internship). Students in FID are encouraged to complete their programs within four years. The four-year graduation plan assumes the following:

  • No remedial coursework is required.
  • The student does not fail any classes.
  • The student does not change minors.
  • The student is willing to take an internship during one summer.

Also, a four-year graduation plan does not take into account dual credit or transfer credit that a student may bring with him or her upon admission to the University. Make an appointment with an academic advisor to discuss schedules and options.

Check out the course rotation before scheduling your classes.

Internship

All Interior Design majors are required to complete a minimum of four credit hours’ worth of internship experience to satisfy their major degree requirements.

Interior Design students must complete HID 303: Studio III and HID 325: Pre-Internship Seminar prior to being eligible to register. This is a two course sequence, you must complete Pre-Internship prior to completing internship. Review the course descriptions for both courses.

All students are highly encouraged to gain practical work experience prior to completing an internship for credit, as this builds upon the knowledge acquired within the classroom.
