The four-year gradation plan was created to demonstrate that it is possible for a student to graduate in four years. The four-year degree option can be completed in eight regular semesters (with one summer internship). Students in FID are encouraged to complete their programs within four years. The four-year graduation plan assumes the following:
- No remedial coursework is required.
- The student does not fail any classes.
- The student does not change minors.
- The student is willing to take an internship during one summer.
Also, a four-year graduation plan does not take into account dual credit or transfer credit that a student may bring with him or her upon admission to the University. Make an appointment with an academic advisor to discuss schedules and options.
Check out the course rotation before scheduling your classes.
Internship
After your sixth semester, be sure to take FMD 402: Internship in Fashion Design to earn four credit hours. Successful completion of an internship is required to fulfill degree requirements.
