Delaying the Real World Fellowship 

 
Description: Delaying the Real World is a road map for the new graduate, inspiring and directing you toward making your twenties the most rewarding (and adventurous) decade of a young persons' life. Delaying the Real World is chock-full of creative ideas and practical information that will help them craft their own life-changing adventure. In this one-of-a-kind guide, Colleen Kinder scouts out experiences that will not only satisfy any free spirit but also pay the bills, make the world a better place, and maybe even catapult them into a future career.
 
Dollar Value: $3,000.
 
Number of Scholarships: There is one scholarship offered each year.
 
Eligibility:
  • Applicants must be in the greatest decade of life, (THE TWENTIES—Ages 21 through 29),
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • There is no educational requirement to apply.
Application Procedures: Eligible applicants must propose in writing via email a gutsy and worthwhile adventure in the spirit of Delaying the Real World and the young adventurers who fill the book. There is no time length requirement on the adventure, though the fellowship committee will take into account how well the proposed idea maximizes the $3,000 grant. The winner must begin the fellowship within four (4) months of award date, which will be no later than May 31, and be willing to report any fellowship-related escapades back to the fellowship committee, including occasional photographic evidence.
