Courses in instructional technology are available at no cost to faculty. These courses assist in learning how to incorporate technology methods into the classroom.
Available courses soon to be offered, include the Microsoft Office Suite, the Adobe Creative Suite 3 applications: InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop and Acrobat 8, and Web Design and Development applications including Dreamweaver CS3, Flash CS3, CSS and HTML/XHTML.
If you are insterested in other instructional technology classes that are not currently offered under Faculty Development in Instruction Technology you may apply your annual $150 fee waiver to take that course.
To ensure that your benefit is properly applied when you take a class follow these steps:
Step 1: Identify a class offered by the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, or Human Resources, that will benefit you.
Step 2: Complete a Noncredit Course Request for Assistance Employee Educational Benefits form and submit the form to the Office of Human Resources.
Step 3: Registeration for the class with the Office of Human Resources. You will be required to submit a copy of the completed Noncredit Course Request for Assistance Employee Educational Benefits form so please be sure to make a photocopy.
