The Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning offers individuals confidential classroom observations and peer consultations by a group of trained peer consultants from a variety of disciplines. Outstanding peer consultants work in collaboration with the faculty or teaching staff requesting the consultation services to help reach individual teaching and learning goals. Faculty or teaching staff at any stage in their career can request the services of a peer consultant. To request a classroom observation or a peer consultation, please contact the FCTL at fctl@missouristate.edu.
In working with the faculty or teaching staff requesting the services, the peer consultant will assess teaching and learning goals and objectives, as well as gather and assess information from a variety of sources which could include student evaluations, course materials, classroom observations, student interviews, teaching portfolios, and classroom assessment data.
