Complaints & Grievances

Missouri State University is dedicated to creating a welcoming communication whose mission is to "develop educated persons".  We can only do this in an open environment free from discrimination and harassment.  The University emphasizes the dignity and equality common to all persons and adheres to a strict nondiscrimination policy.

The Office for Equity and Diversity is charged with investigating complaints of discrimination or harassment brought by members of the university community.  The Office for Equity and Diversity Complaint Procedures place a strong emphasis on resolving complaints informally in a fair, prompt, and confidential manner.  If the issue isn't resolved, then formal procedures are available.
