Advisement

Advisor helping some students

Guiding your academic path

The finance, economics and risk management department is committed to helping you succeed in your undergraduate career. To ensure ample opportunity for us to guide you in your undergraduate progress, plan a meeting with your advisor at least once a semester.

Business Advisement Center

We want to provide our students with all of the resources they will need to reach their goals, so we have a Business Advisement Center specifically to aid students of the College of Business.

Undergraduate advising

Undergraduate students receive advising and scheduling support through the Business Advisement Center located in Glass Hall, Room 276.

Skilled advisors assist you in determining your major and career paths. Advising sessions are made by appointment only. Visit the Business Advisement Center page for more information about majors, minors and advising.

Transfer advising

As a transfer student in the department of finance, economics and risk management, you are invited to schedule an appointment with the Business Advisement Center to determine what requirements you have left to complete. In some cases, you may be pre-approved to take an online course at the University while concurrently enrolled at your current school. This allows you to begin fulfilling program requirements at the University.

We work closely with each transfer student to develop a personalized degree plan to complete your degree in a timely fashion. With most students who have completed an Associate of Arts degree, our degrees may be completed in two years taking 15 hours per semester. Please make an appointment with our transfer advisor.
