Sample Three-Year Graduation Plan for BA in Economics

The table below shows that with careful planning it is possible for a student pursuing a BA degree in Economics to graduate in three calendar years. It is provided as a general guide only. The set of courses identified below can be modified to accommodate students’ interests, and they do not take into account the possible existence of dual credit or transfer credit that a student may bring with him or her upon admission to MSU.

A 3-year graduation plan is not for every student and it assumes: (1) no remedial coursework is required, (2) the student does not fail any classes, (3) the student does not change either the major or minor, and (4) the student is willing to take classes in each summer.

With a BA degree, an 18-hour minor is required, and the student will need 12 hours of foreign language, HST 103 and HST 104, a PHI course, and six hours of fine arts.
