The Life After Missouri State Conference will be held in the Plaster Student Union Theater, and the Speed Networking Event will be held in the PSU Ballrooms
Resumes and Interviews - 4:00
How are you going to separate yourself from the rest of the field when you find the job you’re looking for? This session will help you polish up that resume and brush up on your interview skills so you’ll be better prepared when your dream job becomes available.
Financial Planning - 4:45
When you do get that dream job and get your first paycheck, what are you going to do with it? If your answer was “buy that fancy new sports car I want” then this session is for you. Professionals will review much of the financial information that is important to know when you start living in the “real world”. Issues like banking, taxes, and retirement will be reviewed during this session.
Dinner - 5:30
Conference participants will be given a 45 minute break to eat dinner.
Developing a Plan B - 6:15
Let’s face it. The job market isn’t as great as it could be. This session is meant to explain different options students have if they don’t immediately find that job they are looking for.
Career Panel - 7:00
Various Chamber of Commerce members will be on hand to share their experiences finding jobs. They will also speak about the current job market and what they look for when hiring employees.
