Giving Voice is a student theatre troupe at Missouri State, which uses interactive theatre to address diversity issues and give voice to the marginalized. The troupe was founded by Dr. Carol J. Maples, an assistant professor of theatre and dance who also serves as the BSE-speech and theatre education coordinator. The Speech and Theatre Association of Missouri recently named Dr. Maples Outstanding Teacher of the Year.
