The President’s Commission for Diversity is pleased to provide the 2005-2006 Final Report. The goals and recommendations set forth in this document are intended to serve as a blueprint for Missouri State University for the development of an ongoing diversity strategy. It is the intent of the President’s Commission for Diversity that the entire University system will expand upon these recommendations. Based on the tremendous success of the diversity dialogues and the request by faculty, staff and students to continue the conversation about diversity, the Commission feels that the University is well positioned to successfully develop and implement a long-term diversity plan. Further, the Commission continues receiving positive feedback from corporations, small businesses, organizations, and private citizens from throughout southwest Missouri in support of our efforts.
The Commission welcomes the opportunity to receive feedback and input from all members of the University community. Following a review period, the Commission will reconvene to review the feedback and recommendations received and then prepare a final report.
The Commission appreciates the leadership and ongoing support of diversity programs and initiatives at Missouri State University. We also wish to express our appreciation to all members of the Missouri State community and greater Springfield community who have participated in this most important dialogue.
