Educate and serve those who are deaf or hard of hearing
Students majoring in the education of the deaf and hard of hearing (EDHH) will learn the skills to use — both verbal and manual communication — to educate persons who are deaf or hard of hearing in addition to serving and educating their families and communities. This is a growing field partially due to an increase in enrollment of special education students in traditional educational environments.
As an EDHH major, you will have a unique opportunity to learn in the on-site Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic to test your knowledge and skills, and gain practical experience. This program engages its students in the comprehensive philosophy of human communication.
