CSD Graduate Application Process

**APPLICATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 1st!**

Application Process for Graduate Programs in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology

Completed application (ALL components including transcripts showing Fall 2012 grades) must be received by February 1st to be considered for the fall semester.The number of students who can enter the program each year is limited. Admission to the program is competitive.

CSDCAS application service. Students must submit applications through CSDCAS. For instructions on the CSDCAS application process, visit https://www.portal.csdcas.org. Official fall transcripts must be submitted to CSDCAS. To send official GRE scores to CSDCAS, use ID Code 0741 when entering recipients of your score during the exam process.

Those who are accepted into the program and commit to attending Missouri State University will also be required to complete an application and submit GRE scores to the Graduate College. This is a separate process from the CSDCAS application. To submit GRE scores to the Graduate College use ID Code 6665.

Full admission to the program shall be based on the following components and application requirements/deadlines:

  1. A Bachelor's degree (if not in communication sciences and disorders, please contact the department office at communicationsciencesanddisorders@missouristate.edu or 417-836-5368)
  2. The student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better (4.00 scale) and a 3.00 or better average in the undergraduate major. Probational admission to the program may be granted to an applicant with a GPA below 3.00.
  3. Graduate Record Examination General Test scores (verbal, quantitative, analytical). Applicants for admission must submit satisfactory scores on the GRE General Test.

Application Process for Graduate Programs in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (EDHH): Including the accelerated Master's in EDHH

Students applying to the Master's program in EDHH must all apply through the MSU Graduate College. For more information on this please refer to the Graduate College webpage at http://graduate.missouristate.edu.

EDHH Applicants ONLY:

The following 4 components should be mailed or faxed directly to the department at: Communication Sciences and Disorders, Missouri State University, 901 S National Ave., Springfield, MO 65987 Phone (417) 836-5368 Fax (417) 836-4242.

  1. Graduate Assistantship Application.
  2. Three letters of recommendation directly from individuals able to speak of the applicant's academic and/or practicum achievements.
  3. A Personal Statement. This can be a hard copy of the statement from the application or a letter of intent.
  4. GRE Scores
