November 21 Department Head assessment on Tenure and Promotion sent to candidate (candidate has three days to respond to form)
November 21 Tenure and Promotion files forwarded to Dean
November 21 Town Hall Meeting on Student Success at Missouri State U. (LIBR 101, 2:00 p.m.)
December 12 Teaching Evaluations due to Dean’s Office
December 12 End of Semester Reception (11:00 a.m. -- 1:00 p.m., Dean’s Office)
December 15 AAA (3:00 p.m., PSU 400)
December 17 Dean’s Assessment on tenure and promotion candidates due (candidates have three days to respond)

Discussion
· Dr. Matthews addressed the university’s policy concerning acceptable and unacceptable holiday decorations and announced that CHPA will display both a tree and a menorah in the atrium.
· Dr. Matthews next addressed the Alumni Fellows Program, wherein each college can identify one Missouri State University alumnus to be honored, and asked for nominations by December 19.
· Enrollment was discussed and Dr. Matthews cited several classes still under-enrolled. The optimal standard remains at 18 students for 100- to 200-level courses, 12 students for 200- to 500-level courses, and 8-10 students for graduate classes.
· Dr. Matthews announced the 2008-09 Loge Seating Basketball Lottery stipulations.
The remainder of time was spent discussing the potential impact of state higher education cuts on the hiring process, overall college budget, and compensation.
