The College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) contains ten academic units as well as:
- Learning Diagnostic Clinic
- Speech, Language, Hearing Clinic
- Physical Therapy Clinic
- RStats (Research, Statistical Training and Technical Support) Institute
- Center for Multidisciplinary Health Education, Research, and Services
Specialized facilities include an excellent electron microscopy suite, metabolic measurement equipment, motion analysis and gait analysis systems, a balance master, biomedical laboratories, state of the art nursing simulation laboratories, and speech-language and audiology testing equipment.
In 2012, the McQueary Health Sciences Hall opened a 5,000 square foot second wing expansion to the Physical Therapy building. The Professional Building is home to six CHHS units plus an open access computer laboratory facility located on the first floor. Additional CHHS academic programs are housed in Hill Hall, Siceluff Hall, McDonald Holland Arena, and Kings Street Annex.
The College and Departments also participate in numerous collaborative efforts with outside groups/agencies, including: several regional medical facilities, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Springfield Public Schools, school districts in the southwest Missouri region, Group Latino Americano, the American Cancer Society, and various State Parks.
