What is it?
Post-Baccalaureate students must be admitted to the School of Teacher Education before being able to register for certain professional education courses (they are indicated on your analysis). You are responsible for checking all prerequisites for your courses (prerequisites are also listed on your analysis).
Requirements for Post-Baccalaureate Student Admission:
The requirements for admission to the Teacher Education program are different depending on the your area of certification. POST-BAC STUDENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO TAKE THE C-BASE EXAM.

Early Childhood: SFR250 and ELE302 (with a C or better in both), COM115, and an overall GPA of at least 2.50. Portfolio Checkpoint #1 must be complete, and you must have your background check.

Elementary Education: SFR250 and ELE302 (with a C or better in both), COM115, and an overall GPA of at least 2.50. Portfolio Checkpoint #1 must be complete, and you must have your background check.

Middle School/Secondary Education: EDC150 and SEC302 (with a C or better in both), COM115, and a cumulative AND content area GPA of at least 2.50. Portfolio Checkpoint #1 must be complete, and you must have your background check.

Special Education: SFR250, SPE310 or SPE610 (with a C or better in both), COM115, and an overall GPA of at least 2.50. Portfolio Checkpoint #1 must be complete, and you must have your background check.
Once you have completed the requirements listed above, you will AUTOMATICALLY be admitted to the School of Teacher Education. You do not need to apply.
