Teacher Certification Office
The Teacher Certification Office assists students who have previously earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and now desire to obtain an initial teaching certificate. Currently Missouri State offers over 30 different certification programs at either the Post Baccalaurate (non-degree seeking) or Graduate level. Alternative Certification Programs approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) are available in several areas, and most programs can be completed in the evenings and summers. Our Visually Impaired Program (VIP) is offered completely online.
