Join the CDR mailing list to be notified when training dates are set. The CDR, in collaboration with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program at Washington University School of Law, is offering a Civil and Family Mediation Training February 4-8, 2009, Springfield, Mo.
We hope you will join us for this highly interactive 3-day (civil mediation) or 5-day (civil and family mediation) training. The first 3 days of the training (February 4-6, 2009) prepare you to conduct civil mediations, and if you participate in the full 5 days (February 4-8, 2009) you will be prepared to conduct family mediations as well, including divorce and child custody mediations.
The training will take place from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. each day. Participants will develop their mediation skills through role-plays and interactive exercises and receive extensive one-on-one coaching and written evaluations of their skill development from coaches with a wide range of experience in a variety of types of civil and family mediation. The training covers a variety of topics, including:
Completion of the entire 40-hour training meets the mediation requirements for Missouri Supreme Court Rule 17 (general civil mediators) and Rule 88 (family mediators).
