PTE Summer Options 2013

Daybreak Adult Day Services


-Daybreak’s mission is to promote and provide quality, licensed adult day health care, benefiting frail elderly, physically and/or mentally handicapped, developmentally disabled adults, their families and care givers. This is accomplished through a structured program of medical monitoring, supervision and socialization in a safe and stimulating environment.


Developmental Center of the Ozarks


-The Developmental Center of the Ozarks serves infants, children, and adults who are developmentally disabled, developmentally delayed or physically disabled, as well as those who are not, through therapeutic, educational, habilitative and rehabilitative programs. DCO holds as its greatest responsibility to promote personal growth through teaching those skills necessary for all citizens of our community to lead full and productive lives.


Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks


-The Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks mission is to build a network of support for individuals with Down syndrome and those who love and serve them in Southwest Missouri.

This will be achieved by providing support and education on early intervention services, promoting inclusive education, highlighting appropriate medical services, encouraging quality employment opportunities and advocating for community awareness and acceptance.


Springfield Greene County Park Board


 -The Springfield-Greene County Park Board will work with individuals to meet their needs and enable them to participate. The Greene County Park Board strives to provide quality recreational programs to individuals of all abilities.


The Doula Foundation


-The Doula Foundation dedicates itself on a daily basis to improving the lives of new mothers and their families. Our mission is to provide emotional care, advocacy, and comfort for all mothers and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood. 


TouchPoint Autism Services


 -TouchPoint Autism Services, a division of Life Skills, strives to be a single touch point for hope and help to families impacted by autism. We serve more than 2,800 individuals on the spectrum in 95 counties across the state of Missouri.


Jordan Valley Community Health Center

Culpepper Place

The Gardens


- The Gardens, a Bethesda Senior Living Community, is a non-profit, faith-based assisted living community that is located in the southwest area of Springfield, Missouri. The Gardens provides seniors with the care they need, the independence they want, and the dignity they deserve. The community offers an active lifestyle while promoting social, spiritual and physical health for each Resident.
