Cathy Smith was appointed to the Board of Governors in 2006. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Missouri State University and master’s degree in education-curriculum and instruction from William Woods University. Smith, of Trenton, is vice president/secretary of L.E.T., Inc. She serves on the Regional Board of Directors for Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City and the Missouri Diabetes Advisory Board. Smith also is the longtime President of Grundy County Friends of the Arts.
