Committees are necessary to the proper conduct of the functions and duties of the Board of Governors.
Executive Committee
This committee authorizes on-going activities of the University that cannot wait until the next regularly scheduled Board meeting. Actions of the Executive Committee are to be taken up by the full Board at its next meeting.

Academic Affairs Committee
This committee works with all academic issues of the university, including curricular matters, issues of tenure, the Faculty Handbook and academic-related policies.
Student Affairs Committee
This committee works with all student-related issues of the university, including student conduct, student facilities (such as residence halls and the Plaster Student Union), student recruitment and retention and intercollegiate athletics.
Finance Committee
This committee works with all financial issues of the university, including budget preparation, financial statements, internal audit matters, capital projects/major purchases and development/fundraising.
