Sharing your research
Students in the Biomedical Sciences Department are not only encouraged to participate in research, but also are encouraged to report their findings. The annual College of Health and Human Services symposium provides students with the opportunity to present their research to other students, faculty, and the public.
The department offers students the opportunity to attend biomedical conferences and enter research into competitions – which is a great way to boost pre-professional program applications or graduate school applications. The department has state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for you to use when conducting your research.
Research is always being conducted by students and faculty in the Nurse Anesthesia department.
The Student Society for Cell and Molecular Biology encourages members to participate and present their research at conferences around the United States, including the national convention of the American Society for Cell Biology.
Other trips have included the Genome Sequencing Center at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and the Stowers Institute for Medical Research in Kansas City, Missouri.
